Follow-up Comment #2, bug #27372 (project bibledit):
Yes, rebooting and prayer helped.
Before I rebooted, sometimes I could get text to input by switching windows.
And BE seems to be working mighty slow for me again— just at the time I
need to be moving around all over a whole Bible text.
