Follow-up Comment #1:

The error message that comes up uses the standard error dialog that comes
with Gtk. Bibledit has no influence over this dialog. It is not part of the
bibledit program. It just behaves as Gtk has made it. This bug report could be
submitted against the Gtk library. These are the people that could do
something about it.
