Details:

This feature worked before (BT 1.6.5.1) but not with BT 2.0
In Sourceforge 2799852 Reference sharing with Bibledit: Make it work again it
is written:

We changed the communications protocol from DCOP to DBUS, but the interface
is still the same and should be working. DCOP will not come back, external
apps need to switch to DBUS (freedesktop.org standard) to talk to BibleTime.
