Follow-up Comment #1:

Thinking about it, and considering when this task was submitted, it may be
that the new layout has changed many or all of the problems that this task
describes.

Thinking about the window for the project notes all at the bottom, at the
moment it will be half-way the screen if it uses default sizes.

The previous area under the references is no longer there. It now is
available as an separate and independent tool. 

The colours of the border and other items on the screen is not set by
Bibledit itself, but by the user's selection of a Theme.

It seems therefore reasonable to close this task as being out of date.

Please reopen it if I'm mistaken in this.
