Hi Birch,

All windows can not be either attached or detached. Even if you had
written earlier, it would have made no difference. The system that
getpaint uses looks good, but technically it is not possible to
implement such windows behaviour with Gtk. The .NET library probably
allows such things, but Gtk does not. Some of the more modern window
managers on Linux now snap to another window when the two come near each
other, but such window managers still treat each window as a separate
one. So that does not help a lot.

I've taken note of your suggestions in connection with Tab-bing through
the various windows, and will see what can be implemeted within the
current restrictions placed upon by the current graphical libraries we
use.

And the other things that comes into play is that it is difficult to
satisfy all users. One person wishes this windows behaviour, and the
other one the opposite. This in turn means that there should be a few
settings in Bibledit that allow different types of behaviour. Right now
there's one setting "Detached windows", so people can choose what they
prefer.
