Follow-up Comment #2, bug #24504 (project bibledit):
Looking into this again, I have the impression, that the master text is shown
in merge area/Changes approval.
So in the case of the change ma ->maa in the edited project,
what I would expect is ma followed by a double box: -ma +maa
