Follow-up Comment #2, task #8668 (project bibledit):

Hi,

I do not understand, what the command:
git --bare init-db --shared
does exactly.

git --help tells:
init Create an empty git repository or reinitialize an existing one

I do not know
- what happens
- on which device

There is no path included in this command.

Executing:
address@hidden:~/bibledit$ git --bare init-db --shared
tells you:
Initialized empty shared Git repository in /home/wolfgang/bibledit/

The help file tells:
4. The fourth step is to create a repository on the USB stick, and to copy
the data to it.
To create a shared repository on the USB stick, type:
git --bare init-db --shared
Git will respond saying that an empty shared Git repository has been
created.
