Follow-up Comment #4:

The reference button works.

I do not like that is integrated in the tool, that it looks like being part
of the project note text.

-> A box around the delete and reference button would help
-> or what about a toolbar for the project notes area where those tow tools
(delete, references) are put (only) once and can be applied for the active
project note (even if more than one are selected)?
