Instead of refusing non-UTF-8 material, what about to offer to transfer it
inot UTF-8 coding?
You did a similar thing for Project/New/Import:
the Import text dialog box has the option: Convert to Unicode: It checks, if
a text it coded already in UTF-8, if not it offers to do it for you.
You mentioned several times gedit, to be a good tool to transform material
into UTF-8:
-> what about using gedit for the transformation of both Projects and
Resources into UTF-8?
