Checked again on this computer, it has Ubuntu 7.10 (not 8.04) installed.
Checked from BE Help/Installation/Ubuntu 7.10 in Synaptic:
- libgtk2.0-dev
- libsqlite3-dev
- libpopt-dev
- libxml2-dev
- git-core
- libxul-dev
They are all installed.

Hi Teus,

Wanted to update BE 3.2.7 (Ubuntu 8.04) to 3.3.49 and ./configure tells 
me, that:
configure: error: libcurl3 >= 7.0.0 is needed.

I checked under synaptics, and all three libcurl3 packages are installed 
(version 7.16.4)

- libcurl3
- libcurl3-dbg
- libcurl3-gnutls

Any idea, what the problem could be?
