Details:

Sometimes, when starting BE, the message shows up: Bibledit is already
running. Would you like to run another copy?

If Bibledit is already running, this is OK.
If it is not (shows up even BE is not started), and rebooting your operating
system (e.g. Ubuntu)does not change this, use the command in a terminal (e.g.
Konsole):

killall bibledit-bin

This should solve the problem.
