Hi Teus,

Did what you said, and Makefile is OK now.

In ./configure

checking for ENCHANT... configure: error: Package requirements (enchant >= 1.3.0) were not met:

No package 'enchant' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables ENCHANT_CFLAGS
and ENCHANT_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

checked and Python-enchant 1.3.0-2 is not installed.
Installed Python-enchant 1.3.0-2 file, then ./configure is OK
Could install BE 3.1.55 now.

I found out, that other enchant have to be installed too (not only Python-enchant)

Hi Wolfgang,

Sorry, there was a mistake in the documentation, I've updated it right now, and it will be visible tomorrow. The order of update should be:

cd bibledit
git reset --hard
git pull
./configure
make
sudo make install

Regards,

Teus.

Hi,

Wanted to update BE 3.1.44 to 3.1.55 but have a problem with Makefile.
How to update it?
I checked in Help/Development <http://www.nongnu.org/bibledit/development.html> but did not find any explanation for it.
