axiom installation failed

    Hallo,
        I would like to test axiom. In particular the Risch algorithm
        
        In home/tws/axiom, I used 
        
        sudo ./configure 
        then
        export AXIOM=/home/tws/axiom/mnt/macosxppc
        export PATH=$AXIOM/bin:$PATH
        sudo make AWK=awk
        ...
    ^~~~~~~~~~

          Can you help me, as I am not an experienced user
