[avrdude-dev] avrdude programing

Hi,
I noticed that the avrdude that I downloaded from then web does not have a 
selection for xmega256d3. Is there a way to program a xmega256d3 with avrdude 
or some program that does not required to download  Atmel studio for field 
upgrade?
