Details:

avrdude.conf is missing some part definitions, resulting in this kind of
error message:

avrdude -c avrispmkII -P usb -p m168p -e -U flash:w:main.hex:i
avrdude: AVR Part "m168p" not found.

This is of course easily fixable, since copying m168 definition and changing
the name and signature bytes probably suffices.

but for sake of saving new users trouble and time, it would be great if this
very easy fix could be included in one of the next updates. (After all, the
greatest hurdle a newbie needs to overcome is getting his first bit of code
into his microprocessor)

while at it, there are probably more minor device upgrades similar to this
that could be added, for example ATMega48p 88p, or the even newer
ATMega48pa/88pa/168pa which probably have new signatures too.
for details see:

Thanks for all your work!!
