[avrdude-dev] Porting to other platforms

Hi, im very interested in the oprerating system Haiku and AVR programming :)
I want to join them both or atleast look at the options to do so, so i have
a small question for you :)

How is the hw abstracted, USB, parport, serial port etc in avr-dude ? atm i
only have a USB programmer so i guess i will focus on getting that working,
do you have your own little lib that i need to implement for the Haiku
platform to make it work or is it tied to the linux kernel in any way (Looks
like you have a libusb something int he code?) ?
