Follow-up Comment #5, patch #4539 (project avrdude):
Nevermind. I manged it to unpatch the white-space changes, and
I also added a spin-loop delay implementation that allows for
short delays well below what usleep() can usually deliver,
including some kind of self-calibration for Unix-style systems.
I also added documentation.
Will commit that to CVS soon.
