I see from the latest stk500.ini file that the device code for the mega8 is 0x72, whereas avrdude.conf from avrdude 4.3.0 shows 0x70. Does this imply that avrdude.conf has to match the particular firmware version being used by the stk500? Please elaborate if you have the time. thanks, galen
