[avr-libc-dev] Re: stdint.h problem with gcc

I have posted patch to "ignore" gcc stdint test failure due to limit range of prtdiff for AVR (c99 wants +-65535) Though we could use "long" that is pointless with restriction on objects being <= 32767 bytes.

There are several errors/problems remaining with avr-libc stdint.h - gcc version passes most (all?) tests.
I would be grateful if someone could review this.

I have been going through the gcc tests for V4.5 and come across some issues with avr-lic stdint.h

The tests that fails are gcc/gcc/testsuite/gcc.dg/c99-stdint-1.c

gcc will create it's own stdint.h and this is fine for V4.5. I have attached this for reference.

The definition of UINT8_MAX is unsigned e.g. 255U - this fails test. 255 is ok wchar limits are not defined- ok we dont have wchar.h but we should still define the types.

There is another issue related to ptrdiff type. This is posted as gcc bug - since it is possible that this particular subtest is inappropriate for avr.
