1.6.1 is done now.  I'm too tired to write an announcement, so if
anyone wants to beat me on this, please do.  The only change between
1.6.0 and 1.6.1 is the addition of bench-libm.dox to EXTRA_DIST in
doc/api/Makefile.am.

I removed the 1.6.0 files as it doesn't make sense to keep files
around that are known to break the build process.

I temporarily backed out, and then re-applied Anatoly's avr35 changes,
just to keep the difference between 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 as minimal as
possible.  Those who read the commit mails might have noticed it.
