Yeah, sure!

That line looks like:

  if test -f ${topsrcdir}/gcc/version.c ; then

Obviously, this misses a couple of double quotes.

My guess is that's rather an autoconf/automake problem than GCC's
fault.

Bottom line: don't uses spaces in directory names...
