Most academics do not run open source projects. They release wonderful, unfinished source code, and then go write a paper about it and maybe get it published.

Well, me too, but am I going to be the only one? With all the code out there using those I'd bet not :-).

So far there haven't been too many others complaining about it.

When I first wandered into this wonderful world, I had not a clue about bit manipulation in C.
