That won't work.  By now, our configuration still requires the
prehistoric versions of the tools (automake 1.4, autoconf 2.13),
although they might be called by a different name than the generic
auto* names.

Sorry, the savannah folks still didn't update the download area.  It's
a PITA that they never managed to get us the promised download admin
tool by now.  My only chance now would be to donwload it under a
different name, but I'd rather intend to move things forward, and roll
1.2.0 instead.
