Hello AVR,

Are you able to provide an update with when the next GNU port will support the
ATMEG48/88/168 devices?

There are 3 patches in the avr-libc Patch Manager that provides support for these devices, one for binutils, one for gcc (seperate patches for the 3.4.x series and for HEAD), and one for avr-libc (1.0 branch). If you are using Linux/FreeBSD/Mac OSX, then you can use these patches to rebuild the toolset.

If you are using WinAVR, then the latest release of WinAVR includes support (from these patches) for these devices.

Having these kinds of notices on public lists is unnecessary and probably not a good idea. Is there any way you can remove these in the future when posting to the list?
