I believe that would be fine (for avr-libc) because you are just listing the 
tools used and not the 
authors. Of course, IANAL.

I'm not sure I understand the question as phrased above. The clause states that 
the names 
may not be used "to endorse or promote" the product. But it should be fine (and 
desirable) if 
you are showing a copyright notice. Again, IANAL.
