Yes, that is a bug. There was some discussion a (long) while back about how the
EEPROM functions wouldn't work on the 169 as they are currently coded. IIRC,
there was never a final resolution on what should be done to make them work for
the 169, hence nothing ever happened. Perhaps now is the time to revisit this
issue.
