[avr-libc-dev] avr-libc 1.0.2: building questions

Hello,
I have a few questions and tried to ask them in avrfreaks WinAvr forum. But
then understood that it war not right place to do it :-)

The questions are:
1  What versions of Perl, Autotools are preffered (tested)? - I'm asking
since I've got several error MessageWindows from Perl while running doconf
in Cygwin bash.
2  Are there any special #defines or functions that can be used in the user
program source in order to check the version of avr-libc that it is going to
be linked with?
3  The sizes of startup avrxxxx.o files are in two times huge than in 0.99
prerelease, that came in WinAVR distribution. Did I build something wrong?
Or is it ok?
4  Is it possible to check the built avr-libc somehow - I mean compare sizes
or md5s with smth?
