Interest, yes. Practical application, no. 

I'd suggest waiting for someone to pop up on the list with an actual 
application for it, asking "Hey, could we possibly have a 32-bit random() for 
AVR?", and then sending 'em the patch and/or adding it to CVS then. At least 
there'd be someone around with time/motivation to test it and make sure it does 
what they need.
