sorry for being incomplete, i forgot that:
test.S:43: Error: invalid sections for operation on `L0' and `label'
test.S:44: Error: invalid sections for operation on `L0' and `label'

(I have no clue where "L0" comes from...)

and I have the current ubuntu avr-gcc, avr-gcc (GCC) 4.3.3
