RS485 has nothing to do with C, it is an electrical specification.
Is it 2 wire or 4 wire RS485? (This is choosing between half and full duplex
communication).
There are lots and lots of possibilities - ie how many micros? Is there a
master/slave relationship? What is the data rate? etc etc..
