Yes, I made a feature request at Novell's Bugzilla to include the patches from
Jörg's FreeBSD CVS. So SuSE's Jürgen Weigert added these to the current
development tree (called OpenSUSE Factory). This was the version I used
first.
Now I know that the warnings were merely cosmetical, since 4.0.2 (without any
patches applied) shows same behaviour without the assembler warning.
I will try to build a GCC3 package with all current patches.
Strange, though, that the firmware is broken if built with GCC4. I will stay
in contact with the developer concerning this.
