AJ,
You are not alone, I have been trying to set up GCC 4.0.1 with Cygwin and
having a hard time figuring it out.
Makes me appreciate what the guys have done for WinAVR that much more!
Thanks Guys!
I wish there was a class or something to take for getting started. I would
love to help the WinAVR releases more closely follow the GCC improvements.
Regards,
Trampas Stern

Subject: [avr-gcc-list] setting up the compiler ?
help, im a avr noob
but i have using mingw.
im using winXP.
having trouble setting up the gcc compiler...
when i compile it says avrlibdef.s not found
but the path to it is part of my PATH.
do i have to setup any other environment vars ?
like in mingw you need to set a MINGDIR is there anything like that ?
are there any tutorials / guides / web pages that can step-by-step
instruct me on how to setup the compiler for command line compiling ?
aj.
