Though very often it hits my mind "I can make this myself and probably
better!" the STK500 is a very useful tool making it very convenient for
development. The STK500 itself does not have any character displays.
AFAIK it is the STK502 extention that provided character displays.
Again these are LCD characters and not 7 segment led displays.
