Depends on how you look at it I guess.  Personally I find the yahoogroups 
advertising rubbish quite tiring and the avrfreaks.com phorum style of 
discussion slow and annoying to navigate, perhaps i'm showing my internet 
age but I really prefer a plain old email list and know of many others who 
do too.
