[avr-gcc-list] Using the Flash on STK500

Hi,
It's a long time since my last codings. And I want to start with 
something easy, but I can't find any documentation of how the 2MB 
DataFlash on the STK-500 can be addressed. Has anyone done this before, 
and maybe want to share his code?
BTW. What is the most recent AVR-GCC-Utils (STABLE) out there, and where 
can I find it?
