You need to "#include <string.h>" in Terminal.C.
You might also want to get a newer release of the usip source.
uisp-20011025.tar.gz is the latest I've found from:
http://www.amelek.gda.pl/avr
uisp-20011025 compiles fine on my Redhat 7.2 system.
