OK, so: Your TARGET is the Ethernut 1.3 board. Your PROGRAMMER is the SP Duo.What HOST SOFTWARE are you using to drive the programmer? Previously, you wrote "Both programmers (stk500 and avrdude) gives an error ...". Where does the STK500 come into this? Is avrdude your host software?
The Ethernut 1.3 needs a special cable for JTAG programming, see http://www.ethernut.de/en/jtag/jtagconn.html. Do you have this?
