Query: AC_CHECK_HEADERS / AC_CHECK_LIB for cpp headers/cpp libs

Hello There

A quick question about automake's AC_CHECK_HEADERS and AC_CHECK_LIBS use
of
conftest.c file.

When this check is used with CPP headers or CPP libs the test fails
because gcc uses
c complier instead of g++ compiler.

Any idea as to how i can resolve this issue
