something1incdir = $(includedir)/dir1
something1inc_HEADERS = header1.h header2.h ...
something2incdir = $(includedir)/dir2
something2inc_HEADERS = header3.h hea

but that "something1incdir" doesn't seem to follow any of the patterns
described in the current automake manual.
Like Ralf says: the above should work. I've done it in the current
automake with no trouble.
