I'm trying to find a way to have automake generate Makefiles that will
automatically generate digital signatures for distributions, and trying to
figure out a good way to handle it.
I think the easy one will be "sum"; other ones could include md5, with more
available if openssl, gnupg, or pgp is available. I understand that a few
of these can be run without human interaction while others will require a
key to be provided.
I don't know much about this stuff.
Where is a good place to discuss these issues to the point that we can have
a proposal? If it is on this list, that's fine. I can also offer a page at
twiki.ntp.org if that would be useful.
