No idea. I can only guess that it's omission or due to -Wcross.

Hmm. Would it make sense to even have 'automake -Wcross'?
If not, then adding it would be a false promise to users.

Hmm. Either the file should also have the header warning:

###############################################################
(in both Autoconf and Automake, of course), or we could just sync it now
for all except the -Wcross stuff (exclusive-or). What do you think?
