Wait, automake ML ?Technically, but I know the answer to that one :) Because autopoint didn't run to completion, it didn't install any of gettext's .m4 files. So when aclocal went to go looking for macros, including AM_GNU_GETTEXT, it couldn't find any .m4 files that contained them. Fix the first error, and the second one will go away automatically.but gettext.m4 is installed (in /usr/share/aclocal).Is that one of the directories included in your -I directives to aclocal (either on the command line or via Makefile.am)?
it shouldn't be necessary as /usr is the prefix where aclocal is installed. Our command is
aclocal $ACLOCAL_FLAGS -I m4And i don't have any problem with, for example, pkg.m4, which is also in /usr/share/aclocal. aclocal finds it.
