Problem using autoreconf |

Hi,
I am trying to use autoreconf to generate a configure script. I am using
the command autoreconf --install --force. I get the following error.
autom4te: unknown language: Autoconf-without-aclocal-m4
Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at
/home/khannag/autoconf-2.59/bin/autom4te line 317.
aclocal-1.9: autom4te failed with exit status: 1
autoreconf: /home/khannag/automake-1.9.6/bin/aclocal-1.9 failed with exit
status: 1
I am using autoconf version 2.5.9, automake version 1.9.6. I have set the
PATH variables in such a manner that the above version of autoconf is
used.
Could you help me in this?
Regards
Gaurav
