I suspect that the rule "where is a will there is a way" applies here.
If I were in your situation, I'd probably check in only the files
brought by libtoolize, the rest of bootstrap would remain.
But yes, you are right: till now, I was lucky enough to avoid any
fiddling with libtool. :-)
