Akim,
Now that you seem to be at revamping autoreconf's options, just a
feature request:
Would it be possible to change autoreconf to
* not recurse it into CONFIG_SUBDIRS by default
* to let it recurse only into CONFIG_SUBDIRS if a --recursive option was
specified.
(What I have in mind is a similar behavior as to chown -R).
Reasonale: Running autoreconf inside of deep sourcetrees with several
levels of CONFIG_SUBDIRS currently always (and often unnecessarily)
rebuilds all CONFIG_SUBDIRS from all subdirs.
