Why not fix it by updating the files upstream?  Go ahead if you like,
for the files shared by both projects.

I'm still pondering whether to use the automatic update in Automake.
It'll make for ugly huge diffs with largely unnecessary adjustments
in the test suite at least, where in the end, most diffs to files will
consist of copyright year updates only.

For the rest of Automake, it might make sense.

For Libtool, I'm sure the script or the Libtool sources will need more
adjustments, as there's some fragile copyright header creation thingy
going on (creating --version output from that etc).
