sounds good, but I'd be afraid to enable it by default.

The hint about AC_C_CHAR_UNSIGNED --> CHAR_MIN is something which
should be told only to people who indicated their interest, i.e.
called autoconf -Wall.

What about the other warnings you plan to add to the new channel,
would it be ok if -Wbest-practices were silent by default?

I hope I'll post a patch soon.
