perhaps we could move the test for AC_PROG_CXX_C_O to tests/c.at and
skip the test on Solaris.  The is more exact implementation of the
idea expressed by Paul.

Wdyt?

How should we identify Solaris?  Call `config.guess'?  Or `uname'?
