That patch (corruptedly archived in
<http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/autoconf-patches/2004-12/msg00133.html>)
looked OK to me.  I was hoping Bruno could take a quick look at it
before installing.  But if he doesn't respond in an another week or
so, let's install it.

Can you please email another copy of the patch to me around then?  I
deleted my copy.  Thanks.
