The long-term solution would be to use UTF-8 for all text documents, but I
agree that support for it still could be better... But since I'm using UTF-8
myself (I need to check too many Russian etc translations...) that's what
I'm doing. Just make sure that all those files contain emacs-like markers
for the right encoding.
